1. What this service does

Embroidery Converter (“the Service”) turns an uploaded image into a file for embroidery machines (PES · DST · EXP · JEF). Conversion is fully automatic. No guarantee is made about the quality of the result or its compatibility with any particular machine.

2. Responsibility for uploaded images

You must hold the rights necessary to convert any image you upload. If you upload someone else's characters, logos, illustrations or photographs without the rights holder's permission, or distribute or sell the converted result, all legal responsibility arising from that rests with you as the uploader.

Converting an image into an embroidery design does not extinguish the copyright in the original. The converted design may still fall within the scope of rights in the original work.

The operator does not pre-screen uploaded images and assumes no obligation to do so. Reports received under section 5 are reviewed and acted on.

3. Image handling and storage

Uploaded images and converted files are not stored on the server. They are processed in memory only for as long as the conversion takes and returned directly in the response; nothing remains afterwards. No database or file storage is used.

The Service runs on cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare Pages). Access logs kept by that provider — IP address, request time and similar ordinary server records — are handled under that provider's policies and outside the operator's control. The contents of uploaded images are not part of those records.

4. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is”. No warranty is given as to the accuracy, quality or fitness for any particular purpose of automatically generated results. Always run a test stitch-out before real work. The operator is not liable for wasted materials, machine damage or business losses arising from use of the output.

5. Reporting infringement and requesting removal

If you believe a work you own, or represent the owner of, is being infringed through this Service, please tell us at the address below. Reports are reviewed, acted on where appropriate, and answered.

Report to: not yet published

Including the following helps us act quickly:

Because the Service does not retain uploaded files, in most cases there is nothing stored to delete. In that situation we take what steps are available to prevent recurrence.

6. Third-party software notice

The PES and DST file writers are a port of pyembroidery (MIT licence). The full copyright notice is in that licence and in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md in this repository.

PES (Brother), DST (Tajima), EXP (Melco) and JEF (Janome) are file formats belonging to their respective companies. The format names are used only to describe compatibility and imply no affiliation with or endorsement by those companies.

7. Changes to these terms

Changes are published on this page and take effect when posted. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
